When you press the "new game" button should appear the DOS console and after it should appeaqr a window with the game running.
The DOS console is used by the Ares' graphic engine (irrlicht) to put errors. It can be easily hide by compiling with the win32 flag, but i didn't want this because if irrlicht incoming in an error it ouputs the error in the DOS console, hiding it the error would be untrackable.
Can you post a screen shot of the DOS console that appear after you press 'new game', please? Maybe it contains some info about the error
Another thing, what happen after the console appear? Does any windows appear after?
Thanks for the report |
